How to change bat file icon9/4/2023 ![]() Edit File Type window will open up, now locate the browse button (-) on the left hand side of the "Default Icon" which is beside the "%SystemRoot%System32imageres.dll,-68", this will direct you to the Windows Icon Directory (change icon dialog box) from where you can choose your icon. In the top section, scroll down and locate ".bat", right-click it and select "Edit Selected File Type" (or simple press F2 on the keyboard). There are two sections on the main page, the top section contains all the Windows file types and the bottom section shows the details of a selected file type. ![]() The program will open up and it looks like a windows explorer or something similar. Once it's downloaded, Simply run the "FileTypesMan" (Run as Admin). This application is very small but very powerful. It's a freeware and of course anyone can use it. ![]() Hi Rohan, There is a tiny application called "FileTypesMan" (File Types Manager), you can manage file types using this tool.
